FlexGround HV – Highly flexible earthing connector for substations and high-voltage installations

FlexGround HV is a highly flexible earthing connector designed for use in substations, high-voltage switchgear and other energy infrastructure applications. The system has been specially developed for demanding earthing tasks in existing installations, retrofit projects, and modernisation and expansion works, and enables safe, reliable and easy-to-install earthing even under challenging installation conditions.

By using ultra-fine 0.1 mm tinned copper strands, FlexGround HV achieves a high degree of flexibility whilst maintaining reliable electrical conductivity. Combined with permanently and securely crimped connection components – such as double-hole cable lugs – this results in a durable and mechanically robust earthing connection for demanding high-voltage applications.

Compared to conventional rigid earthing conductors, FlexGround HV offers significant advantages in terms of installation, retrofitting and maintenance. Particularly in confined spaces, with complex connection geometries or in applications involving mechanical movement, the earthing connector allows for simple and secure adaptation to the specific installation situation. The design is rated for short-circuit currents of up to 20 kA / 1 s.

FlexGround HV is ideally suited as a flexible earthing conductor or earthing connector for the earthing of power transformers, isolating switches, surge arresters, structural elements and other components in substations and high-voltage installations.
