ENACO GmbH modernized the Posterstein and Ascholtshausen substations as part of a retrofit project. This required a precise and robust busbar system.

ENACO required the appropriate busbar system for the transition from high voltage to medium voltage. Our task as LUKA was to develop and customize the ideal components and deliver them ready for installation.

Focus on energy conversion

Transformer stations convert electrical voltage between different voltage levels in order to transport electricity over long distances and then make it usable for end consumers. Specifically, in this project, the incoming 110 kV high voltage (primary side) was stepped down to 20 kV medium voltage (secondary side).

Precision in retrofitting

Our components for ENACO

For the retrofit project, we supplied ENACO with the key components and customized them individually:

Busbars, machined and cut precisely to fit the installation situation
Copper braided connectors, drilled by us and prepared ready for installation for flat connection to the transformer
20 kV post insulators with busbar holders that ensure secure support and guidanc

The result was a tailor-made busbar system that ENACO was able to reliably integrate into the existing infrastructure.

Retrofit as a contribution to security of supply

Thanks to the close cooperation between ENACO and LUKA GmbH, the retrofit was implemented smoothly. The delivered and customized components ensure that the substations will continue to guarantee a stable, secure, and efficient energy supply in the future.
